summer to fall bar cart

Swapping things out for the new month/season is one of my favorite things to do. In my opinion, it makes the house feel totally new and fresh. My normal changes includes flipping pillows, Happy Everything attachments, art prints, and the bar cart.

Things that are always on my bar cart decorative dish towel, whiskey, glasses. Those are really the only regulars! I like to really mix things up and since my bar car isn’t actually used for making drinks most of the time, it doesn’t really matter what I put on it.

Here’s what it looked like for most of the summer:

I’m not a big leaves and pumpkins everywhere kind of person, so I’m usually switching things for a more muted tone and putting away the brighter colors. I did add a few pumpkins, but they’re black and grey so they’re not too much. Somehow it’s taken me until right this moment to realize that my aversion to pumpkins might have something to do with my aversion to the color orange….

Anywho…here’s what it looks like for the upcoming fall season. More neutrals and less stuff, but ready for an apple cider cocktail!

A few things to consider adding to your bar cart:

  • Books

  • Prints/pictures

  • Sentimental pieces (for example, the bottle of Canadian Club belonged to Seb’s grandfather)

  • Decorative bottle opener

  • Bar tools

  • Jars or bowls with somethings fun inside like candy or confetti

  • Small seasonal decor (like the pumpkins)

This is one of the most fun spaces to revamp because it’s so easy and honestly makes a really big difference in the space. And now I’m already thinking about what I’m going to change for winter so more to come!
