I’m so happy to see the first day of Spring! It might not feel like Spring this week, but I can tell it’s coming and I definitely feel like I’ve been spring cleaning over here. When I was making a gratitude list recently, I thought about a few of the seemingly trivial things that I really love and felt needed to be shared, so here they are!

1. Something Was Wrong

If you like crime dramas or enjoyed the Netflix show You, you HAVE to listen to this podcast. It’s a true story told from the perspective of a girl and her family about her relationship with a sociopath. It’s so interesting that I had a hard time pressing pause on the podcast to go to bed at night.

2. Magnolia Home Bloom Candle

I grabbed this candle from Floral Designs by Eddie around Christmas and it’s quickly become one of my favorites. It doesn’t burn too fast and smells fresh + clean. Perfect for Spring!

3. The Big Leap

I (surprisingly) haven’t read a new self-improvement book in a few months. The Big Leap is an excellent resource for learning how we subconsciously hold ourselves back from success (also known as upper limit problems) and how to move past those self-imposed limits. It’s an excellent, straight-forward read and I would recommend it to anyone as these problems exist whether you’re aware of them or not.

4. Minestrone Soup

Specifically, this recipe. I have made this probably 6 times in the last 3 months which is a lot for someone who doesn’t cook much. It’s easy, relatively quick, healthy, hearty, and delicious. I don’t know if it gets any better than that.

5. Sleep Soundly Soundtracks

I started listening to the Sleep Soundly + Sleep Soundly Vol 2 albums on Spotify sometimes while I’m sleeping. I swear when I do it, I sleep like the dead. Normally, I’m a light sleeper and wake up a few times a night, but this is great for staying asleep. I will say that I’ve gotten out of the habit with the move, but this is making me want to get back into a nightly habit again because my sleep quality is not great right now.

I honestly wanted to put new appliances on this list! Not having a washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven, or fridge really makes you appreciate our modern conveniences. I am honestly excited to get some laundry done! What are your favorite things right now? Leave me some recs in the comments!
