7 awesome self-improvement books

Obviously I’m a serious self-improvement junkie and I believe that books are some of the best value if you’re going to invest in yourself. You don’t have to spend $1000 on a course to learn some of these concepts. Of course, those courses do offer different benefits than a book, but if you’re just starting out or on a budget, here are a few of my favorite personal development books that will help you uplevel your life.

7 awesome self-improvement books

These are roughly in order of most helpful (for me) to least helpful, though each of these is a book that played a big part in my energy education the last year or so. I’ve read others that weren’t as impactful and therefore I didn’t include.

1.       You Are a Badass

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again – I love this book. Jen Sincero is funny and makes learning about personal growth fun.

2.       Money and the Law of Attraction

This book is one that I could read over and over and get something new every time. My favorite thing is that it’s not just about money. It also touches on topics like physical health and relationships – a very well rounded LOA read.

3.       The Seat of the Soul

While a little more spiritual than practical, this books hit me deep down (in the seat of my soul 😊). This is the book that changed Oprah’s life so I think it’s a must read.

4.       You^2

Prounced You Squared. Very short and very inspiring. This book will have you believing you can do anything.

5.       Earth is Hiring

Another light-hearted, funny book about how improving yourself improves the world around you. Peta Kelly is hilarious and a real light in the world.

6.       The Emotion Code

Very interesting book on the way emotions + energy impacts our physical body. Lots of examples + case studies included. If you’re interested in health implications of energetic issues, this is a good one. It also teaches you how to clear out things that you don’t need to hold onto.

7.       The Master Key System

I won’t lie – this book is thick. It took me weeks to read, but the reason I love it is because it’s a book about how energy and law of attraction work AND it was written in 1916! Can you believe that? It’s just proof that these concepts aren’t new and we’re just waking up to how powerful our personal energy can be.

I hope you enjoyed those recommendations! Different books resonate differently with different people. For instance, many people love Gabby Bernstein’s The Universe Has Your Back. While I did enjoy reading it, it didn’t have a big impact on me like the ones included above. Pick one or two on the list that feel like a good fit for you and give it a go! The next books on my list are A New Earth and The Big Leap. Let me know below in the comments if you are planning to read any of these or if you have any other recommendations for me!
