what i'm packing for mexico

It’s almost here! Every year, I get the winter blues and I find the best way to help is to get away somewhere warm. This year, we’re headed to Tulum, Mexico and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s my first time in Mexico and I don’t speak a lick of Spanish, but I’m so ready for tequila, tacos and SUN. Packing for a warm weather trip in the middle of winter is a very strange thing, but I think the stark contrast makes it a little easier to identify your favorite summer items since it’s been so long since you’ve worn them. Here’s a look at what I’m packing…

law of attraction basics

Cut-offs

My favorite cut-offs are about 4 years old and comfortably worn in, but I’ve been thinking about investing in a new pair like these or these.

Light button up

Button ups are my go-to all year round, but I especially love a white or oversized button up in warm weather.

Dresses

I’ll be packing a few simple things to throw on like a cute striped dress and my favorite silhouette, a swing dress. These tend to work for just about any occasion on vacation.

Sandals

I’m bringing my tried and true Birkenstocks and maybe a pair of flip flops, but I’m also in the market for a pair of huaraches while I’m down there!

Bathing Suits

I just got these bottoms and I’m obsessed. Also ordered a new black strapless top to mix and match.

Sunnies

I love my Quay sunglasses more than anything.

Of course there will be a pair of jeans and some other boring stuff like that, but what I’m not bringing is a pair of heels, twelve pairs of workout clothes, fancy cover ups, and anything else that sounds like a good idea but that I won’t actually wear. This trip is about relaxing, spending quality time with Seb, and maybe finding a little inspiration, but not about looking amazing or trying too hard. This time I’m keeping it simple!
